This lovely antique 18ct Gold padlock heart pendant is Victorian Circa 1900.

The wonderful padlock style pendant is shaped like a heart and boasts a large deep red Cabochon Garnet in the centre.

The Garnet has been adored throughout history for it’s blazing red colour which hides beneath it’s dark surface. It is said to be a stone of purity, truth and a symbol of love and compassion.

The piece also features a glass window locket on the reverse in which you can add a photograph or lock of hair.

A small fault is present on the window but this is minimal wear for an item of this age.

All set in 18ct Yellow Gold and decorated in detailed engraved patterns.

This is a lovely, sentimental piece that is steeped in history and would look beautiful displayed on a Gold chain!

Weighs 6.2 grams.

Measures 18mm across x 30mm down.

Garnet measures 8mm across x 11mm down.
